FOOD INGREDIENTS CHINA
From March 17 to 19, the 28th China International Food Additives and Ingredients Exhibition (FIC) was grandly opened at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center. The exhibition attracted industry pioneers, experts and scholars, and professional visitors from home and abroad to participate in the event. Tech-inno Health brought AKK AM06™, berberine hydrochloride, Disugar® mulberry leaf, TiRoxC® roxbirica and other product solutions to the exhibition. With its innovative formula and popular technology applications, it became one of the highlights of the exhibition. It had in-depth exchanges with customers at home and abroad to explore the future trends of the food industry.
PART 01
China's probiotics market has exploded,
Advantageous strains will reshape the landscape
According to the analysis of the International Probiotics Association (IPA), China has become the world's second largest probiotics consumer market, and the market size is expected to be close to 200 billion yuan by 2028. China's growth rate (26.7%) is far higher than the global average (7.4%), but the per capita consumption (US$0.4) is still significantly lower than that of European and American countries, and there is huge room for growth.
In such a huge market, the competition of product homogeneity is severe, and the safety of strains faces many challenges. AM06™ is the only AKK strain derived from breast milk. Compared with the traditional AKK bacteria isolated from feces, it has higher safety assurance. At the same time, it has the advantages of low toxicity, high genetic stability, high pH and bile salt tolerance, and is an ideal candidate strain for probiotics.
PART 02
From efficacy to safety and effectiveness,
The attributes of natural plant raw materials leverage consumer trust
With the upgrading of consumption and the improvement of health awareness, the market's demand for products has shifted from pure efficacy to a new stage of "equal emphasis on safety and effectiveness". The raw material system with natural plant extracts, organic ingredients and traditional herbal ingredients as the core has become the key fulcrum for leveraging consumer trust due to its transparent ingredients and traceable sources.
At the exhibition site, functional products with natural plant herbs as the core continued to attract attention, among which the sugar and lipid management series, oral beauty series and liver protection and alcohol detoxification series became the focus of customer consultation. The sugar and lipid control solution made of Disugar® mulberry leaf, TiRoxC® roxbirica, PARADOXINE™ paradise pepper and other raw materials is regarded as an innovative tool in the weight management market; and VisionGud® blueberry anthocyanin, InSKN® cherry blossom, emblica and other "internal and external" ingredients redefine the new standard of oral beauty. In the field of liver protection and hangover, black ginseng, LivCynara™ artichoke, kudzu root, etc., have shown significant liver cell repair and alcohol metabolism acceleration effects. This natural-based R&D orientation has not only accelerated the modernization of traditional functional ingredients, but also injected momentum into cutting-edge fields such as precision nutrition and personalized health management.
PART 03
Focus on R&D depth,
Unlock the differentiation code of functional foods with technology
With the refinement of consumers' health needs and the improvement of scientific cognition, it is difficult to form a differentiated advantage by simply relying on marketing packaging or basic formulas. Only by focusing on the deep breakthrough of technological research and development can we get out of the homogeneity dilemma and build long-term competitive barriers. We must focus on the deep breakthrough of technological research and development.
BioProdEx® encapsulation technology, DIMT™ digital decoction and direct drinking technology are becoming the core solutions to break through the pain points of traditional dosage forms. BioProdEx® encapsulation technology uses liposomes, microcapsules and other carriers to target active ingredients for encapsulation, which can not only cover up the bitter taste of functional raw materials, but also improve the stability and bioavailability of ingredients; DIMT™ digital decoction relies on precise temperature control and AI ratio optimization to transform the traditional decoction process into a standardized production process, solving the pain points of turbid precipitation and unstable taste of traditional decoctions; and direct drinking technology transforms the product into instant granules, breaking the limitations of traditional brewing scenarios and meeting consumers' dual expectations of "convenience" and "experience".
The three major technologies optimize the entire chain from raw material processing, process innovation to usage scenarios, which not only reconstructs the sensory experience and efficacy threshold of functional foods, but also builds differentiated competitiveness with technical barriers, driving the industry to accelerate iteration towards the high-value track of "scientific evidence, convenience and friendliness".
