The birch tree will die.

chaga extract good for

Chaga mushroom velvet contains more than 215 kinds of nutrients needed by human body, including amino acids, polysaccharides, oxidised triterpenoids, tannins, steroids, alkaloids, melanin, low molecular polyphenols and lignin compounds. Each gram of Chaga mushroom contains 35,000 units of S.O.D (superoxide dismutase), which is 55 times more than that of Ganoderma lucidum, 23 times more than that of Brazilian mushrooms, 31 times more than that of Ashwagandha, 318 times more than that of Sanghwang, 25 times more than that of Lions mane Mushroom, 31 times more than that of Maitake Mushroom, 175 times more than that of Vegetable Juice and the water-soluble polysaccharide, such as 1,3-1,6 Beta Glucan, can be as high as 55.6mg/g. The superoxide dismutase enzyme has powerful antioxidant effect and is known as "human safety guard".

The medicinal activities of Chaga mushroom extracts

1. Chaga mushroom polysaccharide has inhibitory effect on many kinds of tumour cells, such as melanoma, glioma, hepatocellular carcinoma, ovarian carcinoma, gastric carcinoma, etc., which shows inhibitory effect on tumour cells in vivo and in vitro, and also enhances phagocytosis of macrophage, activates the immune cells of the organism, and indirectly produces anticancer effect.

2. Chaga mushroom polysaccharides can reduce blood glucose concentration and keep it at a lower level, repair insulin β-cells and promote insulin secretion, which is better than metformin in lowering blood glucose, and improve the complications of diabetes mellitus.

3. Polysaccharides can also promote cholesterol transport and metabolism. Polysaccharides can inhibit the absorption of cholesterol in the intestine, improve the function of vascular endothelium, and reduce free radical damage. Chaga mushroom polysaccharides can significantly reduce hyperlipidaemia in humans.

The polysaccharides and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in Chaga mushroom can improve the immune function of lymphocytes, scavenge free radicals in the body, prolong the division time of passaged cells, and increase the content of T-cells in peripheral blood.

Chaga mushroom polysaccharide can scavenge reactive oxygen radicals, inhibit the oxidation of intercellular nucleic acids, enhance the activity of SOD and peroxidase, and have antioxidant effects.

4. Chaga mushroom polysaccharide can inhibit the proliferation of viral cells in the organism, inhibit the combination of viral cells and target cells, and has antiviral activity. In the research and development experiments of drugs, it is found that the combined use of antiviral drugs and polysaccharides can delay the emergence of drug-resistant strains and shorten the treatment process. Some studies have shown that Chaga mushroom polysaccharide has antiviral activity against Newcastle disease virus in vitro.
